We are looking for friendly and communicative individuals to join us as Youth Music Practitioners.

SoCo has a number of regular music-making open-access youth sessions for 12-18 year olds that look to
support and guide the participants to express themselves creatively through music.

The Youth Music Practitioner/s will work closely with the Project Manager to predominately deliver on the
open sessions, although 1:1 work and project work is available.

Essential Capabilities:
● Experience of working with young people
● Music skills (performance and/or music production)
● Creative and reflexive delivery style
● Excellent communication skills

Desirable:
● Registered as self employed
● Degree level qualification
● Music or teaching Qualification
● Proficiency in at least 1 musical instrument, song writing and music production
● Experience in project working, planning and service development

Available budget:
● £25-£35 per hour (average delivery session 1-3 hours)
● Travel expenses may be reimbursed
● Additional budget is available for planning meetings and music leader CPD / training.

Contract type:
● Fixed term
● Freelance
