The Creative Hub was a unique open access music making space in Southampton’s Bargate Shopping Centre. SoCo took on an empty unit in 2010 and filled it with instruments and music technology. Over the space of three years we had festivals, conferences, workshops, gigs, networking, filming and more! Check this short film produced for the British Council as part of their Music is Great Britain series.
Through the Hub we wanted to support young people across the city to be creative, whether that was through music, visual arts or film. Check out the video below from an early Balcony Session. We had some aspiring young film makers wanting to develop their skills… we had musicians and great balcony space, the rest was history…
