How Can I Be Involved?
- Each applications for Sounds of South Central go live around July with our cohort announced in September.
- We will be looking for artists who are prepared to make the next step with the careers, and have a project, or set goal we help you take to the next level.
- With around 60-80 applicants a year and places limited, we encourage artists who have applied previously to keep trying as you never know when we may be able to support your project!

What is SoSC?
Sounds of South Central or ‘SoSC’ is SoCo’s flagship artist support programme building on the success of our previous editions of ‘Sounds of South Central’ we made the decision in 2025 to open applications up to the wider South Central Region.
Each year we select 12-16 artists of all genres from bands to DJ’s to rappers, who will receive a 6 month+ programme of support from our team of mentors.
Each Sounds of South Central Artist will receive mentorship and advice from either our MIO team, or our partners SO Movement with access to:
- Studio Time
- Content Creation Workshops
- Management Consultations
- Working with the Industry workshops
- Live Support
