Introducing Cut Through The Noise ‘CTTN’
Cut Through The Noise is the flagship programme run by the Music Industry Office, based on a one-to-many principle of knowledge sharing. It is the first point of call for everyone who wants to be involved with the MIO and its development and support programmes.
The programme is lead by monthly networking, and masterclass sessions at Planet Sounds, where the MIO team interview fellow industry professionals from different sectors to discuss issues facing developing artists, such as recording, copyrights, and digital marketing. This is supplemented with a range of online resources, drop-ins and our new podcast, discussing the ongoing issues in the music industry.

‘Holding Back the Ears’ – March 2024’s Cut Through the Noise Masterclass focused on understanding the emerging trends in Digital and Social Media Marketing and Artist Promotion, an ever-evolving and often time draining part of emerging artist businesses.
