We are excited to announce that our FREE support programme for ANY local creatives who want to develop and lead community arts workshops is live!
We are recruiting now for two cohorts
- Apply by 30th November to be part of the December/January cohort
- Apply by 31st January to be part of the February/March cohort
We want to help Southampton unlock the creativity of all it’s communities. If you do too, these workshops will give you the skills you need.
Hands on training will include the background, practical and governance skills you’ll need – Safeguarding, Creative Facilitation, Project Evaluation and Trauma Informed Practice – and the creative sessions you love. We’re aiming to bring together a whole raft of creatives from different practices, sharing the best and brightest aspects of each. So you might be learning from a poet or a musician, a textile artist or a film maker, and as well as learning about other creatives work, you’ll learn about session planning, how to design and create digital resources and online content, and much more.
This training is free and will broaden your skill base and experience, helping you support others in our city.
We are hugely grateful to Southampton City Council’s Community Learning Innovation Fund, without which this would not be possible.
